Method

  1. This recipe very much depends on how many chive flowers you have!
  2. You will need one large jar, around 740ml/2lbs or half that size if you have around 2 handfuls of flowers
  3. Put them in a sieve or colander and give them a shake to dislodge any bugs
  4. Put them in your chosen jar and pour over enough white wine vengar to cover
  5. Seal and give them a shake
  6. Leave on one side for around 2 weeks to infuse; shake the jar occasionally
  7. Strain through a coffee filter, kitchen paper or a jelly bag and fill pretty bottles with the lovely pink vinegar
  8. Perfect for Summer salad dressings
